Culligan® ClearLink PRO™ Drinking Water Accessory

Our newest reverse osmosis drinking water system accessory, ClearLink PRO™ works alongside our drinking water systems to provide cleaner, better-tasting drinking water from your existing faucet. ClearLink’s wireless technology eliminates the need to drill through countertops or sacrifice soap dispensers like traditional RO systems. There’s no need for additional faucets or fixtures to wash vegetables with your sprayer, fill pots for cooking, or simply enjoy a glass of filtered water. With ClearLink PRO™ it's all with the touch of a button. Your Culligan Man® has all the information on this new drinking water accessory so you can enjoy clean, filtered water at the Lake of the Ozarks.

ClearLink PRO™

ClearLink PRO™ is a first-to-market wireless control system that allows you to get Culligan® filtered water from your main faucet. Until now, installing an RO system required a dedicated faucet, which meant drilling a hole or losing a soap dispenser. Now you can use your existing faucet to wash vegetables with your sprayer, fill pots for cooking or just enjoying a glass of filtered water.

Features of Culligan® ClearLink PRO™

- Filter life gauge to ensure your system is producing the best quality of water.
- LED backlight display shows when filtered water is flowing.
- On trend design in multiple finishes to complement today's kitchen decor.
- The alert indicator illuminates when the filter, RO membrane, or batteries need to be replaced.

How It Works

ClearLink PRO™ utilizes wireless technology to switch the main faucet between unfiltered and filtered water at the touch of a button. The ClearLink PRO™ control box is installed on the main water line and connected to the Culligan® water filter. For filtered water, turn on the cold water, push the ClearLink PRO™ button and in a few seconds, you have RO water at the main faucet. When you're done, simply turn off the water and the system will automatically divert back to unfiltered water ensuring you don't waste filtered water.

Benefits of ClearLink PRO™

- Use your existing faucet eliminating the need to drill a hole.
- Wireless technology allows you to place the ClearLink PRO™ button virtually anywhere.
- Integrated filter life indicator takes the guesswork out of when to replace filters.
- Water quality monitor ensures you have the best quality of water at all times.
- Filtered water can be added to any room with a sink.

How Drinking Water Can Benefit Your Workout

One way to ensure you have a better workout is to make sure you drink the proper amount of water before and during your workout. If you're avoiding drinking water while exercise due to a fear of getting a side-ache, you may be surprised to learn how water could actually lead to a better workout. Water is an important part of making sure your body is working properly. Because our bodies are made up of approximately 70 percent water, it's important to replace the water we lose to keep our bodies working. Culligan Lake of the Ozarks explains how drinking water could lead to a better, more efficient workout.

Why Drink Water

While you may know that water keeps you hydrated during your workout, you may not know how. Water keeps your muscles, joints and vital organs lubricated. Water is necessary for you to have energy during your workout, as it transports oxygen and glucose throughout your body. Muscles need water for strength and flexibility. Your joints need water to prevent stiffness and your brain needs it to send messages, such as keeping your body temperature regulated.

Don't Substitute

There's no substitute for water. You may think that you need to be drinking juice or a sports drink during hard workouts, but you could actually be doing your body a disservice by doing so. Many of these drinks contain a surprising amount of sugar, which could cause your body to become dehydrated. When you consume a sports drink or juice instead of water, it will generally make you thirstier. Generally, you don't need to consume anything except water during your workout, unless you are engaging in a strenuous activity or working out for longer than an hour.

How Much Water?

The amount of water you should drink before and during your workout varies for each individual. It all depends on your weight, type of workout and the climate. Begin with 8 - 16 ounces of water before the workout, and consume one glass of water for each 20 minutes to half hour during the workout.

Signs Of Dehydration

By the time you recognize you're thirsty, your body has already lost important fluids. If you become dehydrated during your workout, you might not even recognize it. When your body loses too much fluids, you will become tired and dizzy. In some cases, you may feel nauseous or have the chills. In severe cases, your heart rate will increase, lose the ability to sweat and become delirious. If you experience any of these symptoms, it's important you contact your doctor immediately.

Culligan Water On The Go

Good clean drinking water is essential to everyone's health. Culligan Lake of the Ozarks offers a variety of drinking water solutions from reverse osmosis drinking water systems to bottled water delivery. Our bottled water at the Lake of the Ozarks is free of impurities, like sodium, lead and chlorine, so it's a healthy choice for the entire family. Having clean, fresh and tasty water that you can grab while heading out the door makes it easy to remember to drink the right amount of water throughout the day. Before you head to the gym, make sure you grab yourself a bottle of Culligan water!

3 Great Reasons Why You Should Install a Water Treatment System in Your Home

Did you know that according to the Environmental Protection Agency, 90% of the earth's water supply is contaminated, therefore undrinkable without treatment? Clean drinking water is essential for living. Thankfully, there are solutions to help treat our water supply to ensure safe consumption and to avoid household issues. Here are some reasons why it's a good idea to install a Culligan water treatment system in your Lake of the Ozarks home.

Healthier Consumption for Your Family

One reason to treat the water supply in your home is the health factor. Untreated water often contains contaminants and microorganisms that can lead to illness. Water purification systems help to eliminate contaminants and kill microorganisms, making water safer to drink. Clean water is important to our health and it can be easily accessible with a water treatment at home. This is the quickest, cheapest, and easiest way to keep your family healthy. Having water treated at home will not only help to purify your drinking water, but it will also help to prolong the life of all appliances that use the water.

Increase Appliance Efficiency

Treated water will benefit your plumbing and appliances. Water that is softened will allow appliances to run more efficiently. They will last longer and require less detergent. Research has shown that running appliances with treated water cause much less scale build up than appliances using untreated water, which required scale removal to continue working properly after the same length of use as the appliances with treated water. Water heaters using treated water increased the heater's efficiency rating for up to 15 years. Running untreated water through the water heater cut efficiency by nearly half due to scale buildup.

More Cost Efficient

The Culligan® Total Home™ Water System combines the best technologies from all of our water systems to turn your home into a water oasis. With a Culligan Total Home Water System you’ll get clean, pure water from every tap and faucet in your house. No longer will you have to deal with the harsh realities of chlorine and hardness in your home’s water. In addition to receiving the benefits of soft water throughout your house, you will also get great tasting water for drinking and cooking. For all of your water treatment needs, contact your trusted water treatment experts at the Lake of the Ozarks!

Does Your Home Need a Water Softener?

Missouri has some of the hardest water in the United States. We all know the struggle that we face with hard water in Lake of the Ozarks. This can cause serious plumbing issues and can be very hard on appliances such as water heaters and dishwashers. If you're not sure whether you have hard or soft water, here are some pretty tell-tale signs to look for. If you find that you do in fact have a hard water issue, it may be time to think about buying a Culligan water softener for your home at Lake of the Ozarks.

Spots! Spots! Spots!
The easiest way to identify whether you have hard water is by looking at your dishes, glasses and cutlery. Particles that are found in hard water are abrasive and cause stains, fogginess in glasses and form spots. Spots can even appear on windows when washed with hard water which remain even after thorough washing and drying.

Protect Your Home and Appliances
Hard water also produces scale. Not only do these minerals form on kitchen appliances, but can also form within plumbing systems and boilers. This scale can reduce the life of your appliances or even damage them and can clog plumbing causing water flow to diminish and water pressure to be reduced. Defective plumbing is one of the most expensive consequences of hard water.

Appliances and plumbing systems are not the only things that feel the harm of hard water. Due to the increase in calcium and magnesium salts contained within the water, soaps and shampoos effectiveness are vastly reduced. Therefore, many people develop dry skin and dull hair after extended periods of use.

Just Say NO to Wardrobe Malfunctions!
Clothes and fabrics are also affected. Have you ever notice how after a few washes your bright white shirts now look dingy and gray or not nearly as vibrant as when you first got them? This is due to the effects of hard water treating them. Clothes can also feel scratchy and are not affected by laundry detergents as well.

Bottom line is this, hard water at the Lake of the Ozarks is inevitable. However, there are ways to avoid the hardships of higher water bills, maintenance fees and more. Testing of your water by a licensed local water expert is the key to determining if you have a water problem, how to solve your problem and what equipment and service you need to protect your family and home. Culligan offers the most advanced and highest quality water softeners on the market today. Interested in getting a FREE water test for your home at the Lake of the Ozarks?
