Winter Hydration - What to Know!

While it's true, an ice-cold glass of water tastes especially delicious on a hot summer day, keep in mind that drinking the same amount of water in the winter is just as important. Staying hydrated during the winter months is crucial if you want to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Culligan Lake of the Ozarks helps make accessing fresh, better-tasting water as simple as the touch of a button. There are many reasons to increase your daily water intake, but if you have trouble drinking enough water in the winter, we have some tips. Learn more about staying hydrated this time of year!

Benefits of proper hydration during winter:
  • Drinking water can give your immune system a boost and help prevent you from getting sick during peak cold and flu season.
  • Drinking water can increase your metabolism and help you feel full, longer. This can help ward off unwanted extra body weight when outdoor activity is limited.
  • Water helps regulate body temperature and is essential to the function of cells, tissues and organs.
  • Drinking water keeps you hydrated internally and can help keep your skin soft and in optimum health.
  • Try a warm beverage
    • Try warming up with a nice cup of hot green tea, or even hot water with lemon. These two hot beverages will keep you cozy on a chilly winter's day.
  • Think outside the cup
    • Several fruits and vegetables have a high water content that can help you reach your daily intake goals. Produce like, broccoli, strawberries and celery are all great sources of water.
  • Do soup for supper
    • Swap your traditional entree for a soup. Low-calorie soups are a great way to sneak in some extra water.
  • Drink before you eat
    • Drink a glass of water before each meal. Make this a habit and you will be ahead of the hydration game!
Drinking water is an essential part of your household and diet, and proper hydration is important year-round. Culligan Lake of the Ozarks makes winter hydration easy and affordable with a variety of options. For the purest and most refreshing water available, Culligan drinking water systems and Culligan® Bottled Water and Bottle-Free® Coolers are just a few of the services Culligan Lake of the Ozarks provides. How Can Culligan Benefit Your Business?

We talk frequently about the importance of having high quality water within your home, but what about your business? With many people working forty hours a week (or more), it is essential for business owners to ensure that their employees have clean, safe water while they are at work. Having good quality water is also important for business owners to better serve their customers and increase the lifespan of their various appliances. Culligan Lake of the Ozarks is proud to offer a variety of commercial and industrial (C&I) products and services designed to help local business owners ensure their companies have the highest water quality possible.

Commercial & Industrial Water Treatment Products At The Lake Of The Ozarks

High quality water for your business serves two primary purposes: it ensures great-tasting water for both your employees and your customers, and it also increases the lifespan of pipes, appliances, and other commercial elements that come into frequent contact with water.

Differing water sources, applications, flow rates, and treated water qualities mean that every business has different water requirements. Culligan carries a wide array of water softeners, water filters, reverse osmosis, and deionization systems available to service almost any need. Below are a few examples of our most popular commercial water products.

1. Culligan® C&I Water Softeners
If water plays an important role in your day-to-day business (and it probably does), we strongly encourage you to consider upgrading to a Culligan water softener. Businesses that use hot water heaters, cooling towers, boilers, food services, or laundry services have experienced the following savings when switching to a Culligan water softener:
  • Reduced operating costs
  • Increased lifespan of equipment
  • Reduced equipment maintenance
  • And more

2. Culligan® C&I Dealkalizers
A dealkalizer uses a process similar to a water softener, but it focuses specifically on removing anions such as sulfate, chloride, and nitrate from the water. These unwanted minerals can make your water taste bitter or salty, and can also contribute to boiler water corrosiveness and high chemical and water usage. Whether you own a car wash, restaurant, or anything in between, a dealkalizer could be a great investment for your business.

3. Culligan® C&I Portable Exchange Deionizers
Culligan manufactures multiple types of deionizers designed for any number of different tasks, such as removing unwanted minerals, treating boiler feeder water, and treating other commercial and industrial applications. Deionizers are commonly used for photo printing, glass industries, humidification, laboratory water, and other applications. If your business could benefit from a deionizer but does not have the budget to invest in an actual system, our Portable Exchange Deionized tank service provides all the benefits without the high cost.

4. Culligan® C&I Reverse Osmosis Systems
Whether distilling, filtering drinking water in restaurants, or treating a large industrial plating facility for rinse water, Culligan manufactures systems to fit the needs of a multitude of businesses and applications. Reverse Osmosis Systems are used in a variety of commercial and industrial applications to significantly reduce levels of dissolved minerals, particles, organics, and silica in water.

5. Culligan C&I Filtration Systems
The services we have covered thus far involve a specific type of water filtration. Each of these specific filtration systems serves a unique purpose, but not all of our clients are in need of such customized services. For this reason, we also offer generic commercial filtration systems to simply remove unwanted particles from the water. By removing these particles, we can eliminate odors, tastes, colors, organic pollutants, iron, chlorine, manganese, arsenic, and other undesirable (or potentially hazardous) substances.

Contact Us To Learn More About Our Commercial & Industrial Services

The above filtration services are some of our most popular commercial water treatment services at the Lake of the Ozarks, but the list doesn't stop there. We also offer skid-mounted systems and ultraviolet water treatment. No matter what type of water-related service you may need for your business, our water treatment experts at the Lake of the Ozarks will be here to assist in any way we can. To learn more about our commercial water services in mid-Missouri, call our office at 573-346-5221.
