Culligan Cares

Hurricane Harvey has been devastating the state of Texas, as many of you know. The all-time Texas rainfall record from a tropical storm has been broken., according to the National Weather Service. Hurricane Harvey could dump as much as 50 inches of rain on parts of Texas. Roads are underwater or washed out. Basic services like electricity and water are knocked out. It will be WEEKS before some of these people can even return home. Many of them still do not know if they will have homes to return to. In this blog, Culligan at the Lake of the Ozarks would like to show you what Culligan Cares is, some of the efforts that are being made to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey, and where you can go to donate money to Culligan Cares.

Culligan Cares

Culligan is the leading quality water expert and committed to helping individuals, families, and communities in need of clean, safe drinking water. Culligan International, over the years, has supported disaster relief programs both globally and locally. All of these charitable efforts were the inspiration of Culligan Cares, which began in 2005 with the support of victims of Hurricane Katrina, where 5 semi trailer trucks of bottled water with provided to Gulf Coast residents with the assistance of Convoy of Hope.

Culligan Efforts Toward Hurricane Harvey

One of the basic needs that these people being affected by Hurricane Harvey and the first responders that are down there risking their lives need is CLEAN, SAFE drinking water.

    • Approximately 75,000 bottles of Culligan water have been provided to Convoy of Hope for those who have been displaced from their homes. Convoy of Hope has a temporary distribution site set up in Victoria, TX. Culligan is continuing to provide water to Convoy of Hope as their supply depletes over time.
    • In addition, Culligan has shipped over 45,000 bottles of Culligan water to several dealers in the Houston area. With the assistance of Culligan of Houston, clean drinking water had already been provided to a firehouse in Katy, TX. The water is supporting over 200 first responders dispatched from all over Texas.

Culligan continues to monitor the situation in Texas and is in direct contact with those Culligan dealers in the Houston area.
